williams! awesome.

You settled with Columbia then, I presume.

rafflesions.............hello..............where are u........... nimen qi nali?? :p

screw RI. They r a bunch of rich preppy kids. jp
errr... CHS is chinese high
ur recs are really important too.

going to umich this fall
anyone else going umich?

umich?
don't worry there'll definitely be LOADS.

i always thought CHS was catholic high school and TCHS was The chinese high school.
the anglo chinese family schools are way more preppy in my opinion. but not the stylish j crew, brooks brothers preppy kind. but more of the A&F and AE wannabe kind. the AC family and raffles family are equally jocky.
alright, start bashing me now.

and Umich. honors program? or else think twice, u might not get that great an undergraduate education there. the school is huge. unless only rankings and prestige count for you. no lack of intellectualism but lack of quality attention.

"screw RI. They r a bunch of rich preppy kids. jp"

hey i'm not rich! =/ ..haha preppy..if you only knew..

anyway. neha..hai zai ze li lah...

umich is a huge state school but so is every other state uni. the population in the school is more of a personal preference rather than quality.

Sigh. It seems so long ago that I went through the whole college application/decision nightmare too... but really, it was only last year! Heh. It's gonna be so weird going back in the summer. Have things changed much in Singapore over the past year?

I know a few friends who went to umich straight out of o-levels. so whatever.

Then again, I'm quite impressed with Ross and the new four year program.

invictus, how did they go there straight without Alevel or anyform of "11th n 12th grade" education??

for various reasons they were accepted with projected o-level results. not just umich, some other state schools and 3rd/4th tiers as well. maybe its a richkid acsi phenomenon but its becoming more mainstream these days to
1) screw JC, a-levels and the system and
2) do one year of finishing then try for freshman
3) do distance/community and try for a soph transfer
4) just go straight to college
you've seen the ads in the papers, you've been to the public shows, you know how it works. its not particularly impressive, but for some people it gets them where they don't mind going pretty fast. i know a few guys and girls my age and younger who will graduate by the time I reach the states.
