it’s called modesty. Try practicing it.

Does it also happen to you guys that other students will compare their scores to yours?

I have a ridiculously competitive girl in my English class and when she had more points on a test than I did, she said: Oh wow I scored higher than you! That makes me really happy.
She ALWAYS compares her scores to mine.

@book05 - I know someone that always tries to compare herself to me. Sometimes in history we’ll have check-in quizzes that don’t even count toward our grade and when she scores higher than me, she will act like as if she’s the queen of the world. She will even text me her test scores that she got in other classes that I don’t even take. She always tries to look at my grades too so she can compare haha.

That’s kind of sad…

That’s so weird and sad…

@flancakes
That’s insane. Nothing wrong with some competition but some people are clearly overdoing it.

RHS I had a student in a college marketing class; she missed the first test due to being sick, and was very concerned about doing well. The make up test she did very well, so her ability was above either her confidence level or she is just like that.

It sounds like this girl is super type A. Seems she puts a lot of pressure on herself.

Don’t try to figure her out.
