The Thoughts Thread (Triple T)

I didnt apply to haverford anyday!!! congrats anyways guys thats awesome.

I got into Bryn Mawr!!! Congrats to the Haverford acceptees; who knows, I might be close to y’all next year! ;)

lol ontheradio, awesome! thanks miller.

squaregirl!!! we will have to do our epic parties in suburban philly then if cambridge is a no-go. i am determined to party. i will it – all peeps invited.

Congrats to The Prophet, SquareGirl, and Ontheradio!!! (the overabundance of exclamation points clearly showing my excitement for you. :stuck_out_tongue: )

@the proph - Y.E.S. !!!
@Butternut - Thank ya, ma’am!!! And I’ve been exclamation mark city today, hah! ;)

thanks butternut!! lol. if i don’t get into harvard and end up going to haverford it’s like:

person: “so, where do you go to college?”
tp: [coughing profusely] “haverfddd.”
person: “harvard? really? wow!”
tp: “yes.”

lol.

^ Haha - my message is too short

this board is going to be so dead in a week. and then the chance threads will crowd in. oh, the chance threads.

Chance threads. :|

chance threads. sigh.

wow, it’s hard to believe everything with this college thing is almost over.

^ Which is why we have facebook/AIM.

^ and ■■■ .

^ and porn.

…

ooc, are there any kids that are just going to stay home from school on March 31st?

I can’t; Eigenvectors, and the periphrastic future of the aorist tense is going to dominate my day that day.

(but technically, I won’t be in my school building, as usual, so…)

hmm for you guys, has H’s low single-digit acceptance rate skewed your views of other college acceptance rates in the sense that double-digits now seem like high [acceptance] rates?

now when i see classes being graded on a curve where only the top 15% of students get A’s, I think of that as a high percentage

^ Absolutely it has! I don’t mean to be royal here, but when ‘we’ hear “selective” we’re thinking definitely under 15% overall, and edging into single digits.
And consider a large number of admits are still going to be those 100-200 people that are just machines/URM/actual legacies that don’t need to worry…and ‘we’ start to worry even more.

I’m homeschooled, so I can’t skip school and just stay home. Although if I were to “lose” my textbooks…:p

lolzy. yea, idk about skipping school – i want the support of people swirling around me and hugging me in condolences, in advance.

@butternut thanks from two pages ago
and i cant miss anymore school. ive used up all my sick days haha unless i go to the doctor and she writes me a note…

"To Whom It May Concern:

Please excuse Ontheradio from school today. She had a nervous break down caused by stress and anxiety. She is still under my care and is currently getting over a disease called rejection from Harvard. I trust you understand.

Thank you,
Dr. CC"
