^ Yeah, that’s the one I was talking about, too. I guess it was the next-to-last play, then?

acceptable argument. it may have possibly changed the entire game (again), but i think it was for the better. the cards may become a better team next year – case in point: they may stop making so many penalties they get screwed – fitzgerald will mature as a player, and warner may finally be ticked off so much that he will guarantee another win.

yesterday, arizona was just not ready.

warner got the crap knocked out of him multiple times after he had thrown the ball - but not one unnecessary roughness call. granted, the ONE time i saw the cards rough up roethlisberger, they get called for it. every call thereafter smelled really bad.

Agree ^^^^, However, I regret to admit that Pitt played so phenomenal, that they deserve that win. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. As a devote Browns fan, I hated the game. A game Pitt wins isnt a game worth watching (for me) no mater how intense the game was.

lol. the browns.

my condolences to you, friend. they just haven’t seemed to capture the greatness of the past. good luck to you next year – well, enough luck to get into the playoffs. not enough to do better then the steelers though.

but i agree, defense is key. especially when defense gets an interception and runs a 100 yard play to make history.

gyea.

I like how everyone else cares about the Super Bowl, and I just care about Hillary Clinton becoming SoS. (Don’t mock me, my love is pure.) You know you’re a feminist internationally-focused nerd when…

i like hillary clinton. now – as opposed to a few months back when tensions ran high. she’s fly.

especially when she said that bit about her “sisterhood of traveling pantsuits.” i thought that clever. but bill clinton is still so much cooler than her.

I WILL FIGHT YOU OVER THAT. (Disclaimer : I’ve been obsessed with Hillz since third grade.) Though I do love the Big Dawg, it’s true. ;)

As for tensions…holy god, my best friend was for Bam and we wound up not speaking for months. Bad times. :(

I don’t like the Superbowl…

And I’m okay with Hilary being secretary of State.

But seriously? HILARY CLINTON is who you like as a feminist?

Then again…I think I might be the only person on these boards that voted for McCain.

I like the Big Dawg too :), everyone hates on him just because he is a playa and then they take his job away because they are playa-haters, who have to take his job away, even though he was doing a good job, on the sole basis of him being a playa. Absurd.

TP, thanks for your condolences, we Browns fans have endured so many losses/failed playoff appearances that more losses dont necessarily equate to more suffering. However, one thing we can hope for after our Brownies failed (by far) to reach the playoff, is a Pittsburgh Playoff loss; yet, we could not have even that
.

Collegehopeful, if it counts, I would have voted for McCain if I was old enough. And yes, our numbers are scarce among this forum. Because, a horde of flaming liberals might (probably will) demolish me if I bring up politics, I stay away from such arguments.

obama fo yo mama

Wow, I missed most of the Superbowl last night, so I just saw the Harrison INT. Probably the best defensive play I have ever seen in all my years of watching dootball. Don’t forget the fact hes a linebacker who blew by so many would be tacklers in a span of 100 yds. No wonder the guy looked dead in the endzone, linebackers arent meant to sprint that much!.

@ Waitn184: …I have a group that meets Friday nights under the Brookyln Bridge…the password is Sic Semper Tyranis…(youtube “Whitest Kids you Know, it’s illegal to say”, if you don’t get it)

@Anyone that likes professional sports:

Remember that favorite teacher of yours in highschool? Probably makes about 50,000 a year if they’ve gotten tenure/part of the teacher’s union.

Guess how much those grown men playing children’s games for a few years make.

holy smokes!

Oh, collegehopeful, bud, you’re so lucky I like you too much to judge you by your politics…heh. =P

As it is, I think we’re diverse enough to keep Harvard colorful. COME ON, ADMINS.

dude the big dawg is such a g. regardless of the outcome, this campaign was packed with some highlights i notice on my walks down memory lane:

barry randomly winning iowa.
barry and edwards teaming up on hillz in nh.
hillz getting straight up ticked off in nh.
rudy guiliani saying he’ll root for the red sox – disgusting coming from a yankee fan.
john edwards getting the bust for cheating – disgusting coming from a family man.
mac came back.
hillz hit the sack.
obama on the attack.
palin looking attract [ive]. look, saying someone is good-looking is not sexist.
barry winning.
mac giving the classiest concession speech – big props to ya’ll repubs.

on a side note: again, the superbowl was fantastic. sometimes, i too, get a little upset at the outrageous salary caps, but then i think about it in a little more detail. brad pitt gave the world some great entertainment when starred in benjamin button. he’s making mills. my world history teacher taught 1000 kids in his lifespan – tops. he’s making jack. similar to brad pitt, big ben or larry fitz provide the masses in america with a different form of entertainment – and they get paid well for it. if we all stopped watching football, they would all be broke. but we don’t, because we love it when someone makes a crazy-ass 100 yard play. so, their pays are justified – and with a graduated income tax, i guess all stays relatively well (ignoring the broken economy).

lol, amc. you – by far – had the best song weezy lyric when we were posting those up.

And again, the prophet’s post is the best. WE ARE ALL HUMBLED BY YOUR SKILLZ. (I wish I could rhyme. It’s so sad, having no rhythm.) :(

Lol, I like that show, but I hadn’t seen that one before. Good luck making a video like that today without getting lynched by mob of flaming liberals. I also agree with Squaregirl, you would provide diversity to the college campus, at least politically. Ivies need more conservatives to counterweight extreme liberalism in college campuses.

@ collegehopeful, I totally agree with you about how ridiculous it is for FB, BB, baseball, sports players in general to make so much $$. They do not help society a significant amount. But thats just how the whole socioeconomic system works, some people get lucky and make millions doing nothing (billions if your a Saudi king), others have to work hard and hope to eventually make a decent (not necessarily millions!) living. I feel like a hypocrite for watching sports with those reasons stated above, but what can you do?; there not going away anytime soon. Btw, I play rugby at my HS, but our team doesn’t necessarily get respect, recruitment, jockmanship, or a large attendance, so I am not a hypocrite in that regard. Plus, thats probably the biggest reason I love the sport; you only can play it for the sake of the sport.

Lol. Prophet, the funniest line was your Palin line, all the girls were like “THAT"S SO SEXIST” when a guy would say she was hot. And I was like, what the hell are you talking about. Is it sexist if a guy says you’re hot?

Whatever. Deep thoughts, Prof., and very well said. Your SKILLZ continue to amaze. Lol.
