SATs are ridiculous. I simply cannot believe my math score. I thought i nailed every single question (I’m taking AP calculus BC as a junior for god’s sake, no bragging intended)…

as for CR & writing, they are both understandable since i’v only been in the US for 3 years, but still i expected at least a 670 on writing. i knew i messed CR up.

oh well first time not too atrocious i guess.

For me:
PSAT: 239 with one off on reading
BUT
my December scores were 2260!!!
i got 660 on CR because I was taking cold medecine that made me really woozy.
Do you guys know other people with the same situation?
Any suggestions? advice?

Multiple Choice: 78/80
Essay-11 (No wayy, NO WAY. I’m sure they added an extra “1” by accident).

Total: 2360

O_o I was so convinced I bombed CR, Writing and the essay (mostly the essay) so badly that the moment I got home after the test, I registered for the January SAT (It’s going to turn out to be a waste of money, because I’m not retaking and CB doesn’t do refunds.) and was almost going to cancel my scores.

I’m also convinced that CB made a mistake when inputing my scores in. Does anyone know if this is possible? (Or perhaps I got really lucky at guessing, though I know Lady Luck doesn’t love me this much.)

^Congratulations on the score. Honestly, just retake the test. After all, you’ve already paid the money and if you could pull off a 2360 while sick, a 2400 is definitely feasible.

And so you know, a 1/12 on the essay basically means that one grader found your essay illegible/off topic/blank while the other grader found it to be quasi-incoherent, so I think the 11 is what you got.

do you guys know how you request for a rescan or to check if they scanned your answers wrong?
can you see your test booklet? what about test scantron?

@Pi ahaha, thanks for the congrats. And congrats to you too for your 2400! @_@ 2-4-0-0::drools::

I’m not sure whether or not to retake the January. There’s no doubt in my mind that I will never, ever, EVER be able to pull off two 800 in CR and W again. Nor will my attention span permit me to sit through another 4-5 hours of pure agony.

Then again, seeing that 760 in Math really irks me. And I know if I were to be slightly less phlegmy for January, 800M would be pretty achievable (then I could superscore!). BUT then again, I always manage to find a way to be sick during standardized testing.

Ughh…what a pickle.

Aha, yeaa I did get an 11 but I really don’t think I deserved it. My essay consisted of a plethora of repetitive rambling. I’m not even too sure what I wrote about. >.< Guess I’ll have to wait another 3 days to find out.

How often do score verifications work? I got an 800 in Math for SAT I in OCT and 800 in Math II in May last year.

In December I got a 720, and I know I got 2 wrong for sure. Is 720 a -4 or a -3? If it’s a -3, I could see me making a bubbling error, but to make 2 of them is unlikely (or is it?)

I also walked out feeling confident about CR, but got a 710. I did not omit anything, how many would I of had to missed to get a 710?

As for writing, I thought I did pretty well on it too, but got a score far lower than what I expected. Writing MC = 66/80 as compared to Oct where I got 80/80.

Overall, I did better in CR (by 10), but went down a lot in both Math and Writing.

800M/800W/700CR = 2300 Oct
720M/690W/710CR = 2120 Dec

Only reason I retook was to raise the CR superscore, but it looks like I failed miserably.

Is it worth it to get a score verification, or should I just accept that I did worse?

I was wondering if anyone who did well on the essay portion (10-12) would post their essay so I could see what I did wrong. I missed one on the multiple choice, but my essay really brought my score down.

can judges give a 12 essay a 10 because of handwriting?
also did anyone use a mechanical pencil on their essay? Does it work? I write better with one.
how much do you pay to get it hand graded?
