The usma application

Soooo....I see USC is ranked number one pre-season.....:)

Seriously, I am looking forward to de-briefing our D once she finishes her semester at Air Force. She has been lucky enough to spend some time at all 3 of the "bigger" academies and so far she has been surprised at the similarities which seem to stem from the fact that Air Force and Navy have adopted their own versions of a number of West Point traditions, terminologies, etc---Which makes sense, USMA is the template from which the other two developed. West Point is, after all, the "granddaddy" of service academies.

Cheer up folks, football season is here!!!!!!!!

Hey Shogun,
We were at USAFA a couple of days ago! Spectacular setting, but more like summer camp than Annapolis and West Point. (My father was an AF colonel.) D's roommate this semester is a 2009 USMA cadet! She also had the decency to help my mid move some of her gear that we lugged from California to their room. Lovely young woman and I am a very happy mom.

Let's face it, it's a mutual admiration society between USNA and USMA.

usna09mom

usnamom---yes, she is certainly enjoying the brief "vacation" from her home on the Hudson!!!

shogun,

Maybe she'll get even more uphill running practice this semester? :)

MOT,

This semester she has decided to take up power lifting while at Air Force.
Ouch.....

I agree - OUCH!

I heard that they have already been sent by mail from the Asst. Dean of Admissions.
