I just heard of two niner boys coming off the Groton waitlist and one tenth girl off Deerfield’s if that gives anyone info they are waiting for. Sounds like things are starting to move now.

I guess these school are becoming more “cautious” after they overenrolled once or twice in recent years. Good news for people on the waitlists. Good luck!

Has anyone received update emails from Choate?? There should be some according to past years but I’m getting none…

yes they have said that only 3rd form boys and all girls (leaving 4h 5th and 6th form boys) are being considered at the moment. We should hear more later this afternoon.

May I know when did they send that out? Kinda confused why I didnt receive that…

The email regarding the status of the different forms went out yesterday around 4pm. I thought perhaps they would send an email this morning as they did yesterday morning, but they did not. I assume we will hear something prior to 4pm as they indicated they were trying to move swiftly as they realized the timing for others making decisions.

Thanks a lot Mauiluver!

Choate just sent an email that they are not in a position to make any offers today.

I received that too.

This is what I know so far:
1.) male boarder off of Milton’s WL
2.) male boarder off of Westminster’s WL

I’ll post if I hear anything else. May the odds be ever in your favor! ;)

How signifcantly does being a Full Paying student on Exeter’s (2015) waitlist help?(I have a sibling legacy and attending.)

@exeterdreamer21
that’s the same question I asked, and no one could give me a good response. Hopefully, along with caution of over-enrollment, chances will be in our favor but Exeter isn’t planning on going to the wait list until after today so don’t be alarmed if you haven’t heard from them yet. Also, I’m curious about the Full Pay thing myself and I was previously thinking that wait list is 50% FA but I don’t know if that makes sense. Anyway, I know the wait list for 10th grade isn’t too long based on how many they need to enroll and I’ve heard of many people who got into PEA and PA and choosing PA, so that sounds good. If you ever find out though let me know! And good luck to you!

Has anyone been taken off the wait list as a ninth grader at St. George?

I told my daughter the exact same thing. Made her feel so much better

@prepllife, thanks so much and good luck to you too (if you are applying)! I was getting nervous because I thought I would hear movement, if any, today. Please let me know if you hear any movement on their waitlist. This was the only school I applied (no where really else for me) and really hope it pans out. However I do fully understand the odds are stacked against me but I helps to know Im in the best possible waitlist position!

Does anyone venture to say that if you have not yet been offered a spot off the wait-list at a school at this time that it us too late?

Anybody get off any waitlists yet? Oura54, I hope not!! </3

Well we have heard that applicants to St. Paul’s ( that were on wait-lists)have been offered spots. I was wondering, now that the dead line of April 10th has come and gone, if the prospect of coming off a wait-list has greatly diminished at schools that have not officially ( as Choate has) announced such?

I know of at least one GLADCHEMS school that is still actively considering kids on the waitlist. I do not know how common this is.
