This is actually a straight forward thread.....Why have u picked the colleges that you did.....Because ppl know of them...or because they excel in your field...................just because i've noticed people just want to stand out....not get the best educations they can

the honest truth is... I don't know. I really can't tell you. Ask why did I pick college at all? I don't know that either. Everything's sorta fallen apart lately, so thanks for bringing it up :p

I love the idea of being around people who have the same intellectual passion I do. I think part of it comes from my surroundings right now (a widespread lack of the aforementioned intellectual passion, etc) and something entirely different would be fabulous. In addition, the research offered is appealing and it would be wonderful to have that opportunity before grad school.

I'm like jusgimmethegun. I used to know why, but senior year is this horrible torture chamber. Everything is kind of falling apart...ask me in April ;)

me too.
all of a sudden, im getting grades i've never ever seen before, grades i didnt even know existed. and i have zero motivation.
i need to get in early, but that (and my mental sanity) hinges on a 9.2% chance so...i'll write you all from belleview?

It's not just motivation... I'm certainly motivated, I just don't know what exactly I'm motivated to do.

i pick my colleges ....well....most of them are famous....so i hear about them....and learn how good they actually are....so i actually choose by...how good they are...but am interested by reputation

Reputation...other people's experiences...location...if they have the major(s) I'm interested in...if they have a second or third major I would be interested in should I change my mind...decent study abroad programs...etc.

The only ones I know are the ones with the Ivy stigma attached, and honestly, those are the ones I want. I can't really put my finger on it though.
