Anybody else been getting blank white screens when moving around in cc yesterday and today? I got a couple of “database problem” announcements earlier today. But lots of times, I can’t click on a thread or a post or a PM. Instead of seeing the item, I get a blank white screen. No fun at all.

yep - I thought it was just me. White screens 2 out of 3 tries.

Good–it’s not just me or my laptop. (But it shows me how addicted I am to this site!!!)–earlier I couldn’t get in at all, and started going through withdrawal!!!
I suspect there is a LOT of web traffic - probably DNS Attacks or spam against the infrastructure.

I just put my cursor over the whichimacallit url input bar and hit enter… seems to work. sorta like refresh.
Same here and it’s having a chilling effect. Choosing what to click on very carefully as the aggravation quotient rises with each repeat. Feel honored that your “white screen of death” was deemed click worthy.

So in this case the opposite of “the white screen of death” is what? The blue screen of life?
I’ve had this problem in several websites today, so I suspect its the WWW, not just CC.
I’ve had this problem as well. It’s annoying, but at least it’s bearable (just keep refreshing till it loads :P)
The white screens ate up several of my posts. I supposed the Parents’ Cafe can function without my contributions 
Also, when I try to post (and if you’re following me, you’ll see I’m doing a heck of a lot of that tonight --), it tells me “The following problem occurred with my post” and then the message is “Okay.” So I click on “Post the damn thing” again and, half the time, it finally posts.
Good for you jmmom for bringing up this sordid mess. I hit “Go” twice now for every page. What a pain in the …
side note: apologies to the mod; I meant this to be in the cafe. The white screen of death made me do it wrong.
I’ve reported the problem to the Mod staff this morning. Problem is, the Mods aren’t the techie.
Marite, I found through the day that you need to “refresh” the white screen after you “Post” until you get the posted screen. Extremely annoying, I agree.
Same thing here. It’s really aggravating, and I had to maneuver around until I could get on the Parent’s Forum.
Oh I’m so happy someone started this thread!! I thought it was only me. Yes…I’ve gotten the “dreaded white screen” and the “error occurred” when posting replies. What’s the problem here? Poltergeist??
In addition to the white screen, I am also not able to use the search function. Anyone else having this problem?
