theatre college transfer help!!

i'm currently a freshman in college looking to transfer to a school with a good quality theatre program. the school i'm at now doesn't have one and i'm not sure where i can transfer to. i'm looking for a college with a good quality theatre program but i want to double-major so i can have something to fall back on. i'd prefer to stray away from conservatory style training and stay somewhere in the northeast. i know i'm very picky and i shouldn't be with a theatre program but i'd still like to be happy. i'm VERY lost as to where i should look and whether i'm on the right track so far or not. the schools i'm looking at right now are suffolk university, emmanuel college, university of rhode island, marymount manhattan college, and possibly brandeis university.

i'm really desperate and i'd appreciate any guidance i can get.

thank youu!!

all of those schools have good theatre... You may receive more specific help if you are willing to share your stats, and more specific info in terms of size of school, in what you might like to double major, etc...

basically i'm an average student. my gpa in high school was about a 3.5 and now its gone down to probably a 3.0. my sat composite was 1090. as for double-majoring, i want to do theatre and psychology. in terms of school size, i like small to medium-sized colleges. nothing too big like NYU or boston university.

I would definitely recommend Marymount Manhattan College for what you're looking for. The theatre department here actually encourages students to look into other areas of academia if they went to minor or double major. We have a Theatre Performance major that's a BA and you can easily double major with it.

I transferred into the program just this past year so if you have any questions feel free to contact me, I'll be more than happy to help!

i was reviewing my college list and i was wondering if anyone knew of good theatre schools in the boston area?
