Theatre Major

I want to major in musical theatre because it is my life’s passion, but I have two concerns. The first is that I am nowhere near good enough to actually make it onto a Broadway stage, and the second is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to obtain a degree in virtually nothing and bring hard-pressed to find a job afterwards. In an ideal world, I would like to major in Musical Theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. If anyone who has gone down this path or almost gone down it could help me out with some advice, I would appreciate it so much!

I pulled in a few threads from the musical theater major forum. Head over there for more information.
