<p>It all depends on what you want out of your education. My school is very practical and I like it. Its focus is teaching fundamental engineering skills because many complex problems can become less daunting if one is able to break it down. Some elite programs don't teach students how to break problems down....they have to learn it on their own. This method didn't work for me because I needed a good teacher, and a practical program had the teachers that helped me get over my confusion with engineering.</p>
<p>There are pros and cons to both kinds of programs though.</p>
