So, i dont think i would have enough money to join a fraternity.
So... Besides joining the frat, what could i do in Cleveland?

First off, joining a fraternity doesn’t have to cost money. Yes there are dues, but some offer scholarships which cover more than the cost of dues. I’ve actually gotten more money in scholarships from my fraternity than I have paid it in dues and other expenses.

Second, all the museums around campus are free. There are dozens of restaurants around Cleveland that are must-visits. The university programming board puts on concerts every year, as well as has a concert every wednesday night. Indians games are fun and cheap, especially on Student night. Basically, if you are looking for something cheap to do, you can find it, just use your imagination.

College is about finding things for yourself. Fun isn’t going to just happen, but if you want to have fun, you can find something very easily.

Example: we got 2 inches of snow on March 31 this year. Most people were complaining. My friends and I (all seniors and over 21),drank and had a giant snow ball fight on our football field until 3 am. Some of the most fun I’ve had at Case.

It’s all what you make it.

As a non-fraternity member, I have still never had trouble finding things to do. There are a lot of interesting people here, with all sorts of interests. Get out and meet people, and you will find people interested in what you are interested in. For example, me and some friends I met here are planning a week long hiking trek after finals this year, I played guitar in a metal band this semester, and I have learned how to ride a unicycle from a guy who uses all strange forms of transportation imaginable. There are experiences to be had.
