Man, UCLA wireless still sucks if you ask me.

ugh i hate those jews for jesus guys...every single one of them. They aren't "jews" either! If i see one of them on bruinwalk, i'll pummel him, then you'll have something to watch/do between your classes.

You mean this guy?

well i walked from bunche to bruin cafe, grabbed a smoothie and walked back to bunche, that was a good way to kill one hour.... exactly!!!!!!!!

you could use some of those 1-hour gaps to go over your notes. There is a great book about studying in college, "What Smart Students Know", that talks about reviewing notes in more detail, or you can find hints on the web such as at http://tinyurl.com/p2fne

The time after class is one of the best times for active learning (in addition to reviewing/augmenting/correcting your notes). You prepared in advance of the lecture, now you just heard the prof discuss it. Ask yourself questions to see how well you really understood it. Try to paraphrase what you just heard, as if you were giving a 5-minute summary to a friend who missed the class. Memory has a quick drop-off from short-term to long-term, so if you review things while they're still fresh in your short-term memory more of them will "stick".

Of course this isn't the only thing to do with the gaps, nor is it always the best. An hour can be a great time to get a coffee with a friend, relax and read the Bruin, just sit in the sun and clear your head.

here's how killed an hour yesterday...walked to YRL, went up to the top most floor, came down, walked back to boelter

Walk around?

haha yeah... thats where i run into a roadblock with your little plan

If it were me, I'd head to the library, grab a snack, or head to the Wooden Center when it's not too packed.

walk back to your dorm and then back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
