Hello, I would like to know if anyone has any information on the MIS degree. Im 34 and have been going back to school for 2 years and have to make a discussion on a degree because Im finished with all my pre-rec classes. I use to work in the field of architecture as a draftsman and lost my job due to the economy.

Ive heard mixed discussions on this degree which were mostly negative, but I do know three people working with this degree that are doing pretty well with it. All of them started when they were younger though. One is working in Administration, the other is a DBA, and my really good friend is a project manager for an engineering firm; hes making six figures. The project manager friend Ive known for 20 years and he said he can get me in but Im not sure how true that is.

I hear there is major age discrimination in the I.T. field which is discouraging along with the H1B visa infestation. Has anyone obtained this degree lately, and had trouble finding work? Any advice would be helpful, and please no negative comment. Also I have no experience in computers
