Good. I was going to suggest Davidson until I saw it was an old thread.

The one time to resurrect threads is for updates! That’s always welcome (though details are even better.) Thanks.

OP, I would love to hear more about why Davidson was the right choice for you. Davidson is on the radar for my D.

Thanks for the update!
Why do you feel it was the right choice for you?

Well, I actually initially submitted my deposit to Carleton on May 1st, the deadline to enroll. The very next day as I’m taking my IB English exam, all I could think was “Crap, I think I made the wrong choice.” So I went home, called Davidson to see if I could still enroll, they said yes, asked Carleton if I could withdraw my deposit, they said yes (I lost $300 but it was worth it), and the rest is history. It really came down to gut feeling; as much as I loved Carleton and although I still have quite a few friends there, Davidson was just the gut feeling. They’re fairly different for LACs, as I think I’ve mentioned earlier, but I think coming to Davidson was the better choice for me. They’re both renowned for undergraduate teaching, for warm community, and great academics but Davidson, despite its reputation as a conservative LAC (and me being quite liberal), just felt right. There’s a lot of things that made my first year great so feel free to message me or respond to this if you want more details.
