This combo for a government/international job?

So to make a long story short I’m probably ditching my bio/pre-med major, but really the only thing holding me back from doing what I want is that I’m scared about my dad’s reaction as far as job prospects are concerned. So basically here’s what I have mapped out:

  • Spanish and either econ or polisci double major
  • Latin American studies certificate
  • Russian and Eastern European studies certificate
  • three years of Russian
Would an academic background like this make me a good candidate for getting a job at the CIA/State Department/etc. or an international organization like the UN? My first love is languages, but the idea of a career in international affairs in general interests me. Also, does anyone have any insight on whether polisci or econ would be a better second major? Any feedback would be great because I hadn’t even considered another career up until the past couple months and am kind of clueless as a result. Thanks in advance!
