By all the gods.

Does this woman really think the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is like this?

She's a blasphemous, ignorant fool who ought to be taken out back and shot.

On a more academic level, and as a Religious Studies major with an emphasis in Judeo-Christian studies, I'll point out some simple facts.

The main message of the Old Testament consists of rules and laws to follow, and how the Lord (one of the many names for the Judeo/Christian God) shall be worshipped, and what the people may and may not do. Many of the rules are no longer followed today, due to inconvenience, their inability to apply to a modern world, etc.

The main message of the New Testament (which is the text Christians mainly follow) is this. "The old world has passed away, and the old rules, and to you I say this: Love the Lord your God, love thy neighbor as thy self; the only way to the Father is through me."

I paraphrased that last line, but you get the general point.

Christians, as a whole, are a beautiful, intelligent, faithful and loving people. I have many as friends. The Patriot Guard (the group of bikers who keeps Phelps' rabble away) are often composed of Christian bikers, although some are not.

Now look at the difference. One group is degrading our war, the wars of others, the lives our countrymen and the lives of others, and our own people, at the emotional expense of genuine mourners of our soldiers who fight for the freedom of another country in America's name.

The other group arrives, with the family's permission, and calmly and peacefully holds the first group off. They don't use foul language. They don't desecrate our country or our dead. They just rev their engines and physically form a barrier to keep the first group from getting too close.

Now tell me. Which group is the more Christian, the more giving and loving, of the two?
