the financial aid info is under the comments section on the blog post. dean j said she would post an entry about it, but that she wanted to keep the notification day post at the top for now.

eek, i'm going to be away from a computer at 5 EST, so i may have my mom check for me... but i'd rather do it myself!! eek!

I am in the same situation duckyy... I am going to be out of town for two days so I can't decide if i should let my mom check for me or not. i am going to be on a bus with all my friends so if i get rejected i don't want to break down and cry...that would ruin my trip :(

aaaahhhhh!!!!

Gah
I think my counselor f'ed up my application. Or maybe I just have issues with the status because it never updates adsoifjaiosdbf

Oh well. We'll see

This includes transfer applicants as well right?

no, king26, transfers are later. check the transfer blog maybe for updates on that?
should be sometime in mid-april i think

WOW! ok so i have a performance that night for my school's musical, do you think i should check before I leave or do you think I would wait until I come home?

Anticipation: would be be able to perform to your best even if you had just been rejected? If the answer is no, wait until after.

hahahaha this thread made me chuckle. I'm like powder (already a student at UVa), so this brings back fond memories. ;) ohcollege, be careful; some people get likelies and then don't get an acceptance letter. I hope your not one of those unlucky few, but it is still a gamble! I got a likely too, but it was still exciting to see the page. :) And I had an AP review sesh the night mine came out (boo) so I didn't see it til later. And the screen was still slow an hour later hahaha.

db123,

For those you've heard about getting a likely letter, then not getting an acceptance letter: do you know what caused them not to get accepted? I know Dean J mentioned issues like poor midyear grades or lack of challenge in the student's senior schedule.

I can't imagine the disappointment one would feel if this happened.....

5 PM EST? Pffff, 3 PM here.

...God I love living on Mountain Time.

JM: I'm not sure what exactly happened. She was more of an acquaintance and I didn't want to pry. Although, I did see some posts here on CC and in the comments section of Dean J's blog after admissions decisions came out. To see the CC thread, check out the 2008 Decisions thread. For Dean J's, there's were 3 posts last year after decisions came out: accepted, waitlisted, and denied. LOTS of comments.

Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Waitlisted at UVa

Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Denied by UVa

I'm going to be a wreck tomorrow at school, that's for sure. I'm usually home by 4, so I can cry (either for joy or sorrow) in private.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!!!!
