I am a 29 year old professional looking to change careers. This fall I want to take the leap from working full time in the network security research field towards something which I hope to find more rewarding, helping the human condition through technology.

I am very interested in combining technology with biology. I was not sure what path to take really, as I am interested in everything from robotics to nanotech to neuroscience. So I initially was considering neuroscience and bio-physics, however have come to the conclusion that a bio-engineering program may make more sense.

It is such a hard decision to decide.

I visited Temple and I liked the campus and the city enviornment. I talked to some people about the bio-e program, however, when doing my own research I can barely find any opinions of the program. It does not seem to be ranked at all. PennState was another one of my options, they seem to be ranked, but I can not imagine myself stuck in a small town at my age.

Are there any people who have attended Temple's Bio-E program? Or even the engineering program? Is it a good school for someone who would like to get more into research? Or would it be a waste of my time to attend and not get me into a higher quality school for my eventual higher level degrees?

Any advice would be fantastic! It would really help me out!

Thank you.
