<p>I am certainly not banking on the trustee scholarship for BU’s affordability, but my family income is less than 40,000 per year so at schools such as Duke, Princeton, and Cornell we would be expected to pay for only books and other expenses due to their extremely generous need-based financial aid they have for <60,000.</p>
<p>phillipscott- I meant to say “at least 1/6”-- you’re right, I think you have as good a shot as anyone with those stats. However, I’ve known people who get randomly screwed with admissions (as I said, the most selective schools are a crapshoot for everyone), and I just wanted to make sure you had some backups that weren’t also huge safeties. Just a thought.</p>
