When in doubt, dress professionally.
Medical Schools typically are pass/fail.
Any interview, dress professionally
With everything virtual, be aware of your surroundings in your room ( yeah , i know it’s my space , my thing , my rights …no offense… but you are “representing for a job” and you are trying to get it)
I would even be mindful of avoiding distraction in the room for the interviewer when they see you.
Good luck
We haven’t heard from GW/GW either.
Please may I send you a DM?
Hey i have my lecom informational session soon. what is it like? how do i need to dress?
Dress professionally - you can’t go wrong with that.
It is an informal session - it’s a chance to learn about LECOM and ask questions to the presenter about their program.
Called GW and they said that they are done with sending out interviews. If we didn’t receive anything then those are not selected for interviews.
i just don’t wanna seem too needy, if everyone else is dressed in sweatshirts
anyone here anything from rowan?
no have you
A week before the deadline
Yes, please
Dress-code: Unless the university says it is okay to dress casually, always dress professionally.
Professional dress indicates you have given the interview/information session the seriousness it deserves.
From indeed.com (https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/starting-new-job/guide-to-business-attire):
Business professional for women typically means tidy dresses, skirts or slacks. Tops should include neat button-down shirts or blouses with a blazer. Business professional shoes include classic heels no higher than three inches, loafers or tidy flats. Women can accessorize with minimal jewelry and belts.
Business professional for men typically refers to a dark-colored (gray, navy) suit and tie. The tie should be simple, avoiding bright colors or busy patterns. Men should wear a button-down shirt (preferably white or light-blue) and belt. Pair with a professional, closed-toed shoe like an oxford or loafer.
RE: LECOM
I don’t know how to respond to this.
-
You are applying to a combined program. You do need them more than they need you. Harsh, but true.
-
Looking professional doesn’t make you look needy - it makes you look like you’re taking them and their program seriously.
-
This goes double for LECOM - it is a school where they expect you to be dressed professionally for their medical classes.
Of course, in the end, it is your call - you can dress however you want for an informal session and you will find most people will.
My thoughts and recommendations are just that - thoughts and recommendations.
Good luck.
