Can someone comment on the type of research high school students should or should not get involved in? I’ve read on here that programs prefer students with clinically-oriented research, but what about basic bench research in analytical/medicinal chemistry, bioinformatics, machine-learning, etc? It seems like even during nonCOVID times, clinical/patient-oriented research was very hard to come by.
any research is good, my interviewers were more interested in my aquatic biology research compared to my neuroscience one.
Hello! I applied to TCNJ’s 7-Year Medical Program, and still have not received an interview notificiation from TCNJ (haven’t received a rejection either). I was wondering whether they are still sending out interview requests, or whether should assume I was rejected.
Both “wet-lab” and “dry-lab” research are valued.
Key is what you learn from your research experience.

Hi, why would they send out a rejection letter when they are not interviewing is beyond me… Some closure in a timely manner is needed here.
