@scoobysnacks56 Yes, I agree. There is no point in calling admissions officers.
@scoobysnacks56 I just tried “excluding” my teacher and was able to remove them. My teacher hasn’t submitted anything though, so I don’t know how this is going to end up.
Was the link that was sent to your email “https://apply.berkeley.edu/account/login”?
nope! mine was a hyperlink that took me to https://apply.berkeley.edu/apply/ref
Has anyone spoken to admissions office about this?? Because I got an email saying not to send but both of those links work for me.
Any news?
@scoobysnacks56 Did the recommendation show up on the MAP@Berkeley?
I just emailed Berkeley regarding this issue and this came back in the automated reply:
Thank you for your email. This email box is checked daily. If you recently submitted a freshman application for admissions and are experiencing technical issues with the Letter of Recommendation link, please allow for 24 - 48 our team to address your technical concern.
I guess this means that they are aware of the issue.
So… what do you guys think will happen to those who submitted LORs without being asked to do so?
I think with LOR’s being new this year and the confusion surrounding them due to conflicting information many people are getting, I REALLY don’t think anyone has to worry about looking bad to admissions if they attempted to send one. If you are one of these people, stop worrying.
