Three interesting reasons why BMC stands out

I can name lots more reasons why I think BMC is special, but here are three that were featured in a recent fundraising pitch:

Bryn Mawr is one-of-a-kind. Here are a few reasons why:

$16 The average cost of three meals per day in the dining hall.
Did you know that Bryn Mawr was ranked #4 for “Best Campus Food” by the Princeton Review?

$50 Twelve flasks for the chemistry lab
Did you know that 25% of Bryn Mawr students major in science or math? That’s more than three
times the average of women nationally!

$85 One competition swim suit for the swim team
Did you know that Bryn Mawr is home to the oldest collegiate athletic association in the country?

To follow up on the last statement:

$50 for membership on the fencing team–tournament fees and everything.
Our fencing team is one of the most underrated parts of the school. For me, it’s probably been the best part of my entire experience. Anybody who has even the tiniest interest in fencing will benefit from joining the team.

NovelNova, great to read about your enthusiasm for fencing! Dare I say you make a good point! I’ll never forget when a few of us discovered a pottery wheel during freshman year – where was it I wonder? The experience meant so much after long stretches in the library – Fencing belongs on the list, for sure.

Bumping up …anyone else care to extol the virtues of BMC?
