<p>Received the letter with the $5,000 scholarship-I'm OOS and still considering LSU if I get accepted to Ohio State where I may receive the Buckeye $. Anyone have opinion when comparing their French programs ?</p>

<p>I really wouldn’t recommend going to LSU for languages at this time. That is one department that is getting hammered with budget cuts. Just being honest.</p>
<p>Actually, I disagree. If you’re majoring in French, you should be ok. Yes, LSU is cutting back A LOT on languages, that’s in languages like Swahili, Russian, and Portuguese–not on French. That being said, if you’re worried about finances, LSU might not be the place for you. The Louisiana government is about to make the tuition go up, as well as create some other nonsensical fees. Please read up on this and be informed!</p>
