Time for my first CHANCE ME post! (to UCLA, Brown, Hopkins, Washington U)

Asian, Female, California, 1st generation, junior</p>

<p>GPA: Unweighted: ~3.8ish? Weighted: 4.1ish?
PSAT: 215 (commended but not finalist)
SAT I: CR: 680 M: 680 W: 790 =2150</p>

<p>SAT II:
Math 2: 670 (retaking)
World History: 570 (I sadly fail)
I took Chemistry and US a while ago, so we'll see and I'm retaking math. I'll probably do Lit too, any other suggestions?
ACT: -taking in June

-Is it better to seem like you make more money or less money? Because my dad's income fluctuates from low to high a lot.
-Should I join more clubs or make another club?
-Should I retake my SAT1?</p>

<p>Christy, I absolutely hate to say that your stats are too low to be a truly serious contender with those schools. Apply to them, but try UCSD, Davis, Irvine, etc. Sorry!</p>

<p>I would say that UCLA is a probability, but extremely competitive to get into. You are accepted into the UC system automatically though (thanks to the whole “4% of the state” thing). Try for Cal as well. Brown is extremely hard to get into with several B’s. A friend of mine got waitlisted for Wash U because he had two B’s. He decided to go to USC because of the BachMd program. Try to retake the SATI, just so ALL of your scores are above 700. This greatly improves your probability of being accepted.</p>
