How long does it typically take to receive the welcome packet/acceptance letter after the status to change to "we have reviewed..." and the loading of the unofficial transcript (complete with student ID, name, major etc). I thought it was just a few days (if instate) but my daughter said her good friend had 3 1/2 weeks between loading of unofficial transcript and receipt of welcome packet/acceptance letter, and she's in state. Yikes. That's a lot of waiting.

What is everyone's experience with the timing of receipt of welcome packet and acceptance letter?

Thanks! My daughter is super excited, but doesn't want to believe me that she's in until she gets the official letter.

@pgbyte you should expect a letter within 2 or 3 days. There is nothing exciting in the welcome packet. I am glad they didn’t waste too much of my money on this. For those who got admitted in December the welcome packet came during the third week of January.

I’m In State. I got my letter (in december) 2 business days after my transcript uploaded. Received welcome packet in late January.

However, many of my friends had their transcripts uploaded in January but JUST received their letters. Not even a packet. I’m not sure exactly how it works, but they got their letters during the huge ‘spree’ of Feb 1/2 acceptances. I’m sure starting around now, they’ll be sending out letters every day, since priority students should be getting their letters.

All my daughter wants is the acceptance letter in her hot little hands. Her status was updated on 2/3 and unofficial transcript loaded so hopefully letter tomorrow or Saturday!

Congrats! Assuming they DID send out letters today, and you’re IS, she should have one soon! I don’t know when they choose to send out batches of letters though.
