<p>All of the Ivies have officially stated that April 1 will be the day they announce decisions. In previous years, when they announced decisions on March 31 or March 30, they said they would do so in advance.</p>

<p>When i got my EA decision online (Class of 2011 - wow i’m old!), it came a bit earlier than 5:00… more like 3:30. But you’ll be checking the site obsessively all day anyway… :-P</p>
<p>^ Haha, maybe different time zone? The SCEA decisions were also released at 5 PM but being over on the West Coast, I got it at 3 :)</p>

<p>my SCEA was about an hour to an hour and a half late this year too. some people said it had to do with last names (mine is an “S”) but i’m not sure…</p>

<p>Nah, I don’t think so. My last name starts with Z, and I got it half an hour after it came out (which was the first opportunity I’d had to check). Maybe geographic location plays a factor?</p>
<p>maybe i don’t get it but… does it really matter when exactly it comes out? Whether at 5, 5:05, or 8, will it change the admissions decision?? That’s how I’m choosing to look at it because all my schools come out on the 1st at 5pm lol… No way i can check all of them at once :/</p>
<p>^You’re right lemons, it doesn’t really matter. For the record, though, I started trying to access my SCEA decision just after 5 EST but didn’t get through to it until like 25 minutes later.</p>
