<p>So I am going to major in Electrical Engineering and I've gotten into these schools. I also applied to Berkeley, but I don't think I'll get in. If I do, it'll be a miracle with my scores and GPA. Plus, I don't know if I'll be comfortable that far away from home. Anyway, I've read several different things about getting a job right out of college or going to grad school. I haven't made a decision on which I want to do, but I'd like to leave my options open. Back to my question:</p>
<p>Which school has the best reputation and which would you pick? I'm completely on the fence for all of these (except UCSB- I don't really want to go there). So any advice is appreciated!</p>

UC Santa Barbara
UC San Diego
Loyola Marymount University
and possibly, maybe UC Berkeley</p>

<p>I'd pick Cal Poly. Great engineering reputation.</p>
<p>UCSD: weird social scene, the people I talk to that go there say it's not "that bad", but don't you want your college experience to be great?</p>
<p>LMU: Not worth the money education-wise, the kids that go there are quite preppy but that works for some people.</p>
<p>Cal poly: I don't actually know anyone that attends so you with a visit you could get as good a feel that I have for it.</p>
<p>UCSB: I'd say this or Cal Poly is your best option. If you can stay focused it has a great college atmosphere and you can't beat the location/weather.</p>
<p>One question, why aren't you considering Davis?</p>
<p>I would pick Cal Poly SLO has the best reputation for EE if you want to work either North or Southern California. It also focuses more on undergraduate teaching. Is Cal Poly SLO the cheapest tuition?</p>
<p>LMU if you are Catholic and want that to be an important part of your college life.</p>
