Timing for graduate school FAFSA?

I've applied to grad schools with the intent to start my MS program in Spring 2010. Although I'd love need-based financial aid from the university, it seems unlikely (estimated EFC > tuition + expenses at all but one of my target programs). However, I will need to take an unsubsidized federal loan, since the EFC is somewhat optimistic and I'm too old to live on ramen and pizza! (let's just say it's been a couple decades since my last encounter with student aid)

The applications have been sent, most of the materials have been received by the schools, so now it's a matter of waiting for acceptances. I'm aware that I can't apply for the federal loan until I'm enrolled and registered.

What I cannot figure out is when do I file the FAFSA? Right away, with my target schools' codes listed in section 5?

If you plan to enroll in college during the 2009-2010 school year, you can complete that FAFSA now.
