********Tip to applicants

Admissions at Michigan look for actual interest in the school, and delivering that is actually easier than you think. All you have to do is talk about some unique Michigan things! And they don’t have to be academic! talk about how we have the best squirrels in the nation ( everyone can attest to that), talk about circumventing the block M in the diag during you visit, reference blue and maize and end your essay with GO BLUE and, if you have good enough stats, you will get in. Dont go overboard but definitely slip a few connections in your essays.

This simple tip is enough to give you the edge over all of the people that apply to Michigan as a 3rd or fourth choice school.
You are welcome and you can thank me on campus next year

Wow, just googled “michigan squirrels” and oh boy…they are the real deal. Real fat and fluffy looking things.

That’s bc of the squirrel feeding club…much to the dismay of the anti squirrel feeding club.

When I shadowed a student he told me about “Michigan time”, where every class starts 10 min past the written start time. Kicking myself that I didn’t include it in the essay.

It is far better to mention a club or specific program you are interested in than just demonstrating you know some fun info about the school.
