Tips for a freshman please?

FunStuff may not seem as supportive as the other HSLers, but he’s just being realistic.

To chrono, just take high school more seriously. Do not use your middle school success as a model for your high school life. (i.e. don’t be confident about your success in high school just because you got straight A’s in middle school). Study harder, don’t go off, you know the rest.

Funstuff, i mean for me a 3.67 is bad but, overall, it’s above average and it’s nothing to run to CC about.

For the average kid, yeah, it’s fine. But if she’s aiming for ivies and the top tier, then it’s not looking good for her. If she can’t do better than 3.67 freshman year, I have no idea how she’s going to improve. Everyone’s talking about upward trends, but freshman year was the easiest year by far. If she starts taking AP classes, then her freshman year will be a joke in comparison.

You have a point and, i agree with her. She has an extremely small chance at the ivies now since most ivy kids made straight As in freshman year but, she still has a chance. Alot people i know scewed up fresman year but, they came back even stronger sophomore/junior year. She’s learned her lesson. She’ll try harder next time.

She has Princeton to look to. They don’t look at freshmen year.
