FYSOP coordinators will be calling in the near future too to tell freshman their issue areas (ie. Disabilities, Elders, Environment, etc.) for FYSOP week. There will be a chance for the freshman to ask them any questions then as well. For the most part though, the Community Service Center website listed above has a lot of great resources like the basic schedules and stuff. On FYSOP move-in day, each freshman will be picking up a packet with an even more detailed itinery as well.

bump…just to be nice to the newbies to Boston University. WELCOME TERRIERS!

One other suggestion for new freshman and parents…we live in CA, and we elected to sign DD up for a checking/savings account at Bank of America, since there was one on campus. Both the B of A and the other bank in GSU are teeny tiny branches. I would strongly recommend that you sign up before or after orientation vs in the Fall. Don’t forget your driver’s license and SS#! Highly, highly recommend that you stay an extra day after orientation to decompress and explore the city. It’s a lot less expensive than a hotel another time, and is great to savor your decision before heading home. Since you haven’t seen each other all weekend, there’s a lot to talk about!
