<p>wait, we have to pay extra to use recreational facilities? What the hell? i thought being studetn at cal granted you most of the facilites without paying.</p>

<p>^ Yes, but it's way better than other UCs which makes a mandatory fee that costs $100+ a year. Beginning next year, all students will have to pay a mandatory rsf fee of $40 (forget), and $10 extra if you want to use the RSF. The RSF has been running on a deficit for years.</p>
