That is really my goal for next october. I got a 1840 on my first try without any preparation, and got a 1910 on my most rescent test that i took seriously (it was a diagnostic test for a tutor place). I haven't really been motivated, but with summer coming, i'm ready to dedicate my time to achieving this goal.

Writing- wow any tips on that? Essay is a piece of cake, but the multiple choice.. that really gets me

Reading- I'm fairly confident on the critical reading and vocab, but i feel like there can be hard questions that i will miss, so any ways i can completely ace the hard questions?

Math - i'm getting better at these weird ass questions lol. What would be your suggestion if there is a problem i dont understand/dont have time? What are some guessing methods that really helped u

i would only worry about learning vocab words if you can answer every passage question correctly. i think its a mistake when people learn 600+ vocab words, but then totally screw up the passages. vocab can earn you some points, but knowing how to handle the passages can earn you more points and plus, its a lot easier to learn passage strategies than massive amounts of vocab.

for math, backsolving is the number one technique i use. also even though i am good at algebra, i almost always pick values for variables, just to be sure i dont make a mistake with the algebra.

for writing, just learn grammar. kaplans writing workbook is quite good. take a lot of practice tests so that you can get the feel for what the sat looks for.

hey, i'm not the best writer, but rather an average writer and i hate reading and writing sections. However, i would say work on 1) vocab 2) grammar 3) universal themes 4) important quotes 5) math...well you can't really prepare except review some algebra 2 stuff.

Just work on time management, reading quickly and ruling out dumb answers. and from my experience, scores go up every time.

Ya the passages seem to be easier for me in teh critical reading now, since i actually try and stay focused while i read. And once you nail that, the answers come quickly. atleast that's what i've found from my practice sections.

Math- eh i just dont want to screw up, im getting used to the wording. I got 600 on my real one, and i rescently scored a 680 on a practice.
