Any tips on getting in from current or past students?
be INTERESTING!! I know for a fact that admissions will take a kid with less-than-average stats (but obviously not obscenely low, of course) who is exceedingly interesting over a grade-obsessed tool with perfect grades
How would you appear interesting? Through unique EC’s and essays?
Nail the essay. That’s how I got in ED. Don’t sell yourself in the essay. IMO, do NOT write about leadership in school activities. Write about something interesting in your life. You want the Admissions officer to remember you after reading all those essays.
Essay 100%, agree with the guy above.
If you live in Illinois, not sure if you can have interviews AT Northwestern but I know NU interviews in the Evanston area were advantageous to certain ED applicants and detrimental to others
alum interviews should hold less weight
Thanks so much guys. Sadly I do not live in Illinois, but alumni interviews are available.
