Tisch for Dramatic Writing?

Hi, I haven’t seen a lot of topics for Tisch’s dramatic writing so I was wondering if anyone can tell me about it, maybe by their experiences there and whatnot? I’d like to know how hard it is to get into this program, any special requirements, how hard it is to get scholarships or to pay for it in general, etc. Thanks. And what age should I apply?

If you’re talking about your college degree, and not the summer program, then apply in the fall of your senior year. If it’s the summer, here’s the website:
[DDW: Tisch School of the Arts at NYU](<a href=“Special Programs”>Special Programs)

The summer program is much easier to get into than the regular college program. I know this from at least one person who attended the summer program.

In terms of selectivity for the college, you will be judged both on your academics and your portolio / how you answer the questions. Here’s the website:
[Dramatic Writing: Tisch School of the Arts at NYU](<a href=“Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing”>Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing).

Here’s the page that shows the statistics for NYU admissions, so you can see how competitive NYU is for to begin with, apart from the portfolio submission. If you’re below the 25%ile for GPA and / or SATs, it will make it that much more difficult for you in the process.

If you’re comfortably in the admitted students’ range, then it’s really just a matter of how you stack up academically and artistically against the other pool of students.

I don’t know how many kids total or the percentage of students accepted to Dramatic Writing.
