To all Cornellians who are willing to help!

Would you guys mind reading my college application essay?

I'm a Korean immigrant who moved here 3 years ago, and I wrote an essay relating to my passion in singing.

if you are willing to help, please leave your email address(@cornell.edu) so I can send you my essay!

would you guys really mind reading my essay?
I can’t say its the perfect essay, but I can say it is original :)

i do not recommend sending your story to other new applicants…

i didnt have anyone read mine so i wont offer to read yours :)

yea that’s why I wish current Cornell students who already got accepted to read my essays and maybe leave some thoughts or comments.

Thank you for your reply though.

I also wouldn’t recommend sending your essay to other people. Have a few of your teachers edit your essay. =) Or perhaps ask your friends to provide some insight. Good luck!

yeah, i wouldn’t trust people online for the best essay advice. ask someone close to you, or a teacher

yes a high school teacher of mine offered to read our essays but i wasnt comfortable with this…although mostly because i hadnt written them yet D:

i know richer people pay for editing services (lame imo)

some professors at cornell would say that having someone proofread your essay is a form of academic dishonesty :(

Meh. I asked my dad to proofread my essay for overlooked grammar mistakes, but I refused to let him edit any content (although he wanted to lol). I considered showing it to a couple of close English teachers, but in the end I decided that it’s a “personal statement” for a reason, not an academic essay…

i let microsoft word proofread for spelling errors

I appreciate your advices :)
