My kid is taking the ACT on Saturday. I have a lot to do in the next couple of days to help him succeed, so I’m writing my to-do list here in hopes that it helps me remember and helps someone else as well.
Make sure he has his ID
Print out the ticket and put it in a folder
Find his calculator and put in fresh batteries
Put together the snack pack for the test. Most people recommend something with sugar and something with protein, so you have sources of short term and long term energy. Last time I packed his favorite soda, trail mix and string cheese. All he ate were the M&Ms out of the trail mix, so I need to reconsider the protein portion of the pack. He did run out of mental energy on the essay.
Refresh my mind with the directions to the testing center.
Today is the last cramming day. Tomorrow is dedicated to relaxation.
