To Taiwan, or...Not Taiwan...That is the question

So, my best friend is spending a year in Taiwan before she begins college-at u of hawaii at manoa (she's amazing at being that independent.)
She keeps persuading me to come visit her (and I've always been interested in asian culture, yada yada.)

Well, to make a long story short...I have half the money of the plane ticket financed IF I were to go...(from graduatino money/random amounts of mexican pesos i've collected over the years)...And think I might be able to take some out of my bank account.

However, I may have issues asking my dad if I am allowed to go (my friend wants me to come for a month--and what time would you ever have to go to Taiwan, only spend money on a plane fare and stay for free????? in the midst of Taipei!)

So, I'm wondering how I should persuade my dad. My mom is more or less alrighty with the prospect, my dad would be ****ing if he knew...because he just lost his job and money is tight but it is not from his stockpile.

And furthermore, I feel like going to taiwan this semester off for me would be the cheese to my macaroni (thank you Juno!)

Wait you're a guy, and a girl friend of yours wants you to spend a month alone in a city with her. Dude, seriously?

LOL i'm ... gay...and she' lesbian. so it work sout well. we're close though friend wise lol.

Aww, thats disappointing to hear.Seriously.

Haha she's having fun anyways (if you know what I mean.) Yeah I know but still I don't wanna pass up this opportunity--I just have no idea how to convince my dad lol.

lol beefs, i like the way you think

have your mom convince your dad.

depends on what you'll be doing there.

IIRC stuff in Taiwan is cheaper than stuff in America. So you can buy lots of random stuff then sell it at a profit! :p

(Might not actually work.)
