to6284 - My mom’s side of the family is Brazilian. I frequently spent the summer there growing up, but haven’t been since I was about 13. That’s about where my Portuguese stopped developing, so I can hold a conversation and probably order dinner easily but discussing literature or public policy might be a little beyond my vocabulary. We’ll have to find some good Brazilian food in NYC to grub out on.
