Could you provide a link please?

check collegeboard or siemens-foundation... the sites have bad layout but im pretty sure i saw it somewhere.

ill try to find it later.. hw right now

polymerchain (pizer) likes to pull pizers thinking about DP.

ok.......?

vinayak's out of his mind. don't listen to his insanities.

hahahahaha oh man rsi good times good times. except when you made arun's hand wet. that's just gross. DP isn't THAT hot, you can contain yourself.

rsi really isnt that crazy..., and vinayak is completely mis-representing the situation.

ok rsi IS crazy and if you guys want proof that im not misrepresenting the situation, PM me and i'll show you a letter I wrote to pizer's ED school about this situation.

and that letter is complete BS!

(wow, this is so completely off topic)

LOL.

What's your ED school anyway Pizer?

wow.. im surrounded by rsi geniuses.

I'm not an RSI genius! (ok, maybe a Stanford CCIS genius!)

pizer's EDing at princeton (I didn't really send the letter lol although I wrote it).

RSI'05!!!

Don't know if any of you go to the following high schools, but below are the names of the schools that have 5 or more semifinalists. So what are these schools doing to give their students so much success in these competitions?

Hathaway Brown School (10 students) (OH)
Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (9 students)
Troy High School (9 students) (CA)
Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (7 students)
Jericho High School (6 students) (NY)
Keystone School (6 students) (TX)
Staples High School (6 students) (CT)
The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (6 students)
Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (5 students) (VA)
William P. Clements High School (5 students) (TX)

They don't do anything. A lot are magnet schools (or like magnet schools), so naturally smart students come there.

EDIT: Let me rephrase, they of course do do something. They teach a lot of math and science, but they are still magnet-esque.

I saw a special on Hathaway Brown in Ohio.

They have a special Science Research Program that begins in like 9th grade or something like that.

They have agreements with surrounding universities, hospitals, etc.

They are guided by very qualified professionals.

I believe they even get to conduct new research at the Cleveland Clinic, which is one of the best in the whole US.

actually i've heard many of these magnet schools spoonfeed their kids research opportunities, and have classes specifically geared towards intel and siemens competitions. Take a look at Evanston Township High School.

they have a specific chem-phys program geared towards doing research projects and submitting them to a variety of competitions

There she blows!

I was under the impression that RSI does the same...

Yay for NCSSM(NC School of Science and Mathematics).

We have Research Courses, and establish good contacts with Duke and UNC-CH and NCState for mentoring us.

Last year I remember we had 11 semifinalists. I'm so excited(I didn't make semifinalist, but a lot of my friends did!).
