Val - Harvard (got into every school he applied to)
Sal - Yale (also got into every school she applied to)

Val: Stanford
Sals (4): UCB, UCB, UCB, UCB

My school's a border town, with sucky statistics and everything. The Val this year is going to Baylor U, and the Sal is spending a year at UTSM, before transferring to the University of Paris where he was accepted, but couldn't go to because of a problem w/ his visa. I think we had ONE Val a few years back go to Columbia. No one else has EVER atttended an Ivy League, and maybe only one kid a year goes to a school out of state.

Bringing back an old thread...

My school's valedictorian this year got into Brown ED.

Val will go to RICE

Val going to Duke (also got accepted to UVa and BC)
Sal going to Stevens (got accepted to Columbia [and not going!!!])

Val - Boston University
Sal - Skidmore College
3rd - University of Richmond
-Yes, our top 3 were focused more on getting those ranks than actually being well-rounded students.

As for top schools...
-1 Tufts (Moi!)
- 1 BC
-1 NYU
- 2 WUSTL

I know this years valedictorian got into MIT. Thats the only school I know she got into other than the school she is going to which is Georgia Tech.

got into Georgetown early, and that's where he's going. I think he applied to Harvard and Yale RD but didn't get in.

I don't know his full list of schools, but I know he applied early to MIT and was waitlisted and then accepted. He has a 2400 and was accepted to Harvard RD, so that's where he's heading.

my school is weird and declares 12 "top scholars" each year. This year it went like this:

1) Duke (Me)
2) Penn State
3) Tennessee
4) UChicago
5) UF
6) UF
7) UF
8) UF
9) UF
10) UF
11) UF
12) UF

haha...gotta love bright futures

Two people from my school are going to Stanford (Salutatorian), one to Yale (the valedictorian), another to Harvard, another guy to UPENN, lots of Cals and UCLAs elsewhere.

Our val is going to Cal Poly and was accepted at UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, University of Rochester, University of Florida at Gainesville, and maybe UC Davis....can't remember. She got rejected from Harvard, Cornell (her top choice, I think) and UCLA. We're not sure of the salutatorian yet, but one of the two prospects is going to UC Santa Barbara (got rejected from Santa Clara, her top choice) and the other is either going to UC Santa Cruz (her only four-year choice) or a community college. I vote for the former because she seems like she probably got better SATs. I don't know their exact stats.

Val Cornell, CMU, Harvard, Michigan, and Yale (?) (attending cornell)
Sal CMU, Northwestern, WL at MIT (not 100% on that, though) Michigan, and MSU (attending Carnegie Mellon)

my val applied to harvard EA, got in, and is going

mine's going to Dartmouth, but got into duke, unc-ch, wustl, and then some others

WE HAD 7 valedictorians. they are going to

2 Brown
1 Upenn
3 WUSTL
1 University of Southern California

our local (public) hs this year----> #1 and #2 both recruited athletes:

val- Princeton (rowing)

sal- Columbia (soccer)

the concensus smartest kid in the class got shut out of several ivies and is going to Vassar

The University of Oklahoma. Pretty pathetic, I know.

University of Arkansas (it confused us too, she got accepted to Vanderbilt)
salutatorian to Ga Tech
Last yr's salutatorian to Vandy
