To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

Valedictorians the last 3 years have gone to UMich, and the year before that was Notre Dame. If you're in the top ten at our school, you're basically going to one of those universities. We've never had someone get into an Ivy or other elite.

Duke, almost full tuition scholarship

our school doesnt rank....but we have
9 stanford
7 princeton
3 brown
3 harvard
3 northwestern
1 columbia
1 MIT
1 west point
1 wash univ st louis
1 Cal Tech
and **** loads of UCLA and UCB (around 40+)
in a class of 500 students
pretty good for a PUBLIC SCHOOL!!!

2006:
Val: UPenn
Sal: RISD/Brown

Others in the top 10: 2 to Cornell, 1 to US Naval Academy, 1 to UVA, 1 to SUNY Geneseo (I think) and I can't remember any more.

2007:
Val: Columbia
Sal: Houghton

The guy I think is #3 is going to Yale, and someone else is going to Dartmouth--both of them double legacies.

T-1: Montana State
T-1: Montana State
T-1: Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT for basketball
4 (me): USC

I win.

^^^ That's the coolest thing ever. bman ftw!

Applied only to one school, U Penn Wharton and got in , INCREDIBLE!

last year: swarthmore

this year: Hampdem-sydney (or something like that)

Val: UC Berkeley
Sal: Princeton (scholarship)

Val going to Columbia

My HS
1-Bucknell University
2-Cazenovia College

Other HS in town
1-Rochester Institute of Technology
2-University of Pennsylvania

Interesting choices, no?

2006 Val: Yale (EA) also accepted at Princeton
2005 Val: Harvard (EA) also accepted at Stanford

My HS
1-Michigan (Ann Arbor)
2-University of Pennsylvania

At my current school, this year's val is going to UNC.

At my old school, 2 vals are going to UNC, 1 val is going to Wake Forest (one year we had a tie for val)

diginetgod: Caz College certainly is an interesting choice. It's sooo...small.

My school doesn't rank us individually but they put us into deciles and in the top decile (4.0 and above, which is about 60 students) we had 1 Harvard, 1 Upenn Wharton, 1 Brown (me!), 1 Cornell, 1 Vandy, 1 Northwestern, and basically the rest went to Umich. So we do pretty well for a public school that doesn't individually rank, imo it helps more of its students be successful (then again we all got rejected from Stanford)!

Val:

Rejected by: every ivy.
Going to UDelaware.

Sal:

Rejected by: every ivy.
Going to NYU.

We had 9 vals...

Pacific Lutheran U

Gonzaga U

C of William and Mary

Stanford U (me)

US Naval Academy

Arizona State U

Calvin C

U of Portland (I think)

One's not going to college--going to missionary school instead, then vocational school afterwards and maybe a 4-year degree.

My school's valedictorian got accepted to USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Boston University. She decided to got to UCLA.

She was the only one accepted to USC. This year, none of the seniors got accepted to any ivy leagues.

Last year, the valedictorian decided to attend USC. 2 people in the top 10, not the valedictorian, got accepted to Harvard and Yale! The college admissions process is starting to worry me.

This year - Val: Yale, Sal: Princeton
Last year (as mentioned earlier on this thread) - Val: Brown
