Tolbert?

Hey guys, I was accepted for fall 2013 and was wondering if Tolbert is available for freshman, and if it is, how is it? I'm pre-med so I'm trying to get into North Hall, I did call UF but got no answers yet.. Thanks in advance!

shameless bump

I’d like to know this also! I think the North Hall is going to be my #1 choice, but I’m having trouble finding out more information about it.

That’s also my first choice, but idk because compared to other dorms it seems to have more upperclassmen than freshman… Idk though, anywhere is really fine w. me as long as it’s sociable.

Yeah I want to be able to make new friends, but I’m also confused because I have been doing dual enrollment and I’ll have my AA degree and be classified as a Junior when I get there. Does this mean I can’t really be around freshman anymore even though I’m the same age as other freshman? haha. idk. I think Jennings is my next choice.

Yeah, I’ve also done some DE but I think I’ll still try to take classes to make it 4 years… Shouldn’t be hard if I have pre-med classes on top of my major I guess :D

Tolbert is available for freshman. I am a sophomore (but most of the people on my floor are probably freshman) and I am living in a single in Tolbert and I really like it. The dorms were just remodeled over the summer and have new furniture so it is really nice. Also the laundry facilities that are shared with North and Riker are on the first floor of Tolbert so if you live in one of those hall, Tolbert will be the best for laundry, distance wise. If you have a meal plan, it is very close to Gator Dining which is nice. There is also a passenger elevator that you can use, many dorms only have freight elevators which can only be used once during move-in.

UF2015- How social do you consider Tolbert to be? Where did you live freshman year? Thanks for the info!

Thanks! I really was hoping for a single in North, just hope I have an early enough # :)

I have my AA after graduating high school as well. I chose Beaty as a top choice. Although yes I will be taking higher level courses, I really want to be around people who are new to the university like me and just graduated high school

That’s just my thought…

that’s what I was thinking too! I wanted thoughts from other people as well so thank you for saying that.
