Tom Cruise needs a chill pill

At least Cruise doesn't get ****ed off whenever Katie Holmes is mentioned and go to great lengths to hide his relationship with her. Brad Pitt is a typical Hollywood type, Cruise at least can be happy. And I'm happy that Cruise is out of the news and back to making good movies.

I'd much rather be with brad. he's not psycho and at least he likes to protect some of his private life instead of announcing to the world he's over forty with a 20 some odd year old girlfriend, or fiance, or whatever they are now.

oh and i thought it was hilarious that he proposed on the eiffel tower. haha. could he be any cheesier. if my boyfriend proposed on the eiffel tower i'd be tempted to throw him off.

i was listening to "anderson 360" and he had some scientologist dude on there. the guy was crazy and kept going on about how psychiatrist are frauds and drugs that alter the brain are evil. so when anderson pointed out that when psychiatrists do talk therapy its exactly what scientologists do, the guy got ****ed and said "but psychiatrists are frauds". and the guy also said that scientology was more legit because it was a belief/faith and not a science like psychiatry. w.t.f.?

Since I don't know the history of psychiatry this may be a bit unfair but.......Tomkat is crazy!

No Tom Cruise didn't have ADHD, he had dislexyia. Scientology cured him of it. Funny but you know what else Scientology has a cure for? Homosexuality. Hah nice one there Tom.

haha...i always knew something was wrong with that dude. i mean, seriously. who can have a laugh like his and not be a total crackhead?

all of the antics just makes tom cruise all the more interesting and appealing, in my opinion, haha :)

hahaha check this out

www.tomcruiseisnuts.com/home.php

He really has lost it. All that gushing is just yuck. Then the weird religious thing. And all the failed relationships. I used to think he was so perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody's perfect. Cruise is a good guy, just believes in a religion that people distrust. And to be fair, his last two wives are close to him and are both happy for him. He was married to Kidman longer than most Hollywood couples, which don't last because it's such a weird life to be consantly in the public eye. He's out of the news now and back on the movie screen, so I'm happy about that.

Scientology is not a religion, it is a cult. It costs an average person $300,000 to $500,000 to progress through all of the "ranks" of Scientology to ultimately become a "clear" person.

It is quite different than Christian Science, and it is quite a frightening cult.

As for Tom Cruise, he is out of his mind. But then again, I'm just pointing out the obvious.

Aha! So Scientology and Christian Science are different. I've been wondering for soooo long...
What are the differences/ what are they all about?

Travolta is a Scientologist, no one seems to care about that.

aim-
You are waaaaay too kind to Cruise. He has stepped way over the line. Thinks he's the world's expert on everything, and is rude and arrogant to anyone who "dares" question it. And his ex's are "happy for him"? Ha. Thats pure Hollywood spin. I wonder what they are really thinking behind that fake smile.

That's because Travolta isn't raving mad.

Christian Science is still a (somewhat remote) form of Christianity. They don't believe in medicine, however.

Scientology is a cult invented in the 1950's by a sci-fi writer. It is not a form of Christianity, and does not care too much about a higher power or savior figure. Instead, it focuses on when the Galactica fleet came to Earth millions (or billions, not sure) of years ago to drop off millions of people who were overpopulating Galactica's home galaxy. Then, the fleet dropped hydrogen bombs on the Hawaiian volcanoes, killing 75 million people. The human body manifests one of these murdered souls.

No, I'm not joking. Or exaggerating.

unluckycharms, that is completely correct. Scientology is a bizarre, misleading, and harmful cult.

Tom Cruise's ranting diatribe with Matt Lauer clearly demonstrates the megalomaniacal arrogance common among hollywood elite. Simply put, Cruise thinks of himself as a deity. Who the hell is he to lecture anybody on psychiatry? He didn't even go to college!! How can he deduce ANYTHING from a research paper on some sort of esoteric medical topic?? People who write an interpret those correctly typically have MD's and/or PHD's from america's finest research universities. I'm much more competent than Cruise to make wild claims like that (hey, I was the valedictorian of my class, lol), but would I??? NO!! Why?? Because I am at least 8 full years of serious and intensive academic study away from even beginning to be competent at making medical claims.

My opinion: Tom Cruise, both as a result of his delusional, self-important attitude and cult-like $cientology associations, is stark raving mad.

Wow... I usually hate it when people refer to a group as 'not a religion, but a cult', but this may be the exception. Yeah, as stated before, Scientology is much different from Christian Science, Christian Science is more focused on spirtual healing instead of weird phenomenon. The 'science' in both their names can be misleading though. (and cause them to be confused with each other)

did you know tom cruise actually used to be in a seminary (when he was 14) and was going to become a roman catholic priest?

he started getting into scientology from his first wife who was part of scientology.

a lot of people on the media thought that because of all tom's antics, his movie war of the worlds would flop. but amazingly, it was his biggest open yet. go tom cruise.

and scientology may be a "cult" or fake or whatever, and sure it does cost a lot of money. but someone like tom cruise has a lot of money and if it is what makes him happy, then so be it.

I hate to break it to you guys, but all religions are cults.

To meet the criteria of being called a "cult" it has to be widely believed that the group's beliefs are extremist and false. Religions such as Christianity and Islam may not be followed by every single person in the world, but they are widely respected. Scientology, however, is criticized by pretty much the entire country for it's awkward beliefs.
