<p>It's going to be tough - 6200 freshmen slots and already 10,000 applications with final admission closing Feb 13.</p>
<p>Not a good time to be last in line.</p>
<p>Per Janice Finney - Director of FSU admissions: "But we didn't expect to receive 10,000 applications" so far, said Finney, the admissions director. "The quality is better than last year. It's almost like the early bird catches the worm."</p>
