I just found out I've been accepted to Georgetown. I somehow forgot to include Georgetown in the six colleges I sent my FAFSA to so they don't have that yet. My EFC is $0 and there's no way I'll be able to attend unless I get a lot of assistance. Am I out of luck or will I still get a decent package?

i don't know anything about the process so this might not be helpful at all, but your best bet is to call the financial aid office ASAP and see what they can do.

the fact that you're requestion aid after decisions have been made (and packages prepared) probably won't work in your favor, unfortunately. good luck though!

Just remember that upperclassmen do not need to turn in their financial aid renewals until April 15th, so that is in your favor. I'm sure you can still submit for aid, but you might not get an answer until after the acceptance deadline. Call the financial aid office first thing Monday morning.

Does anybody else know anything about what happens in this situation?

....uh, have you not called yet? cuz i think that the financial aid office would know better than any of us...

BrandynQ - You need to call asap. This is too important to put off. I have called the financial office on several occasions and they are very nice and will not bite. Seriously, they are there to help you, so call.

I couldn't call until today (I live on the west coast so they close before I get home everyday) and they were closed for Good Friday so I have to wait until Monday. Does anybody have some information on what happens in this kind of situation that they could give while I wait?

my stuff was late so I am still waiting on my financial aid package. Basically you will still get aid as long as you send your FAFSA, and they will process it in the order they receive it, so if you haven't sent it, send it now and then call, don;t wait to talk to them first.
