Too many added words=bad?

<p>For the essay...will it look conspicuous if you have a lot of carets ( ^) to insert words just to make it more descriptive?</p>

<p>i.e.</p>

<p>The prisoner went to his jail cell.</p>

<p>The ^(miserable prisoner) went to his ^(disgusting) jail cell.</p>

<p>im sure 2-3 would be fine, but if your essays is loaded with ^, itll give the reader a hard time, potentially lowering your score. Remember, the graders have a lot of essays to read and don't have time navigating through your essay.</p>
